Reading the specs for the DSR-390 I'm not certain if it can record in DV and DVCAM modes like my DSR-250 can. Sony hasn't posted the User Manual for the DSR-390 model yet, and reading the manual for the older DSR-370 model it's not clear if the '300' cams can record in both modes.
