Bakugan Battle Brawlers dimulai dengan Danma Kuusou, seorang bocah lelaki yang menemukan permainan Bakugan bersama temannya Shun Kazami setelah kartu misterius dan acak muncul dari langit. Bersama dengan teman-teman mereka yang lain, mereka membentuk tim yang disebut “Bakugan Battle Brawlers” untuk memainkan permainan baru ini bersama. Tetapi tidak diketahui oleh teman-teman muda ini, Bakugan jauh lebih dari masa lalu yang sederhana.

Permainan mereka secara tidak sengaja menghisap mereka ke dimensi alternatif yang disebut Vestroia, tanah asal Bakugan. Vestroia baru-baru ini diserang oleh makhluk yang dikenal sebagai Doom Beings.

Ranah ini diimbangi oleh Perfect Core, yang dengan sendirinya dibentuk oleh Infinity dan Silent Cores. Ketika Bakugan Naga jahat berusaha mengambil kekuatan besar ini untuk dirinya sendiri, ia tidak dapat menyerap energi negatif yang ingin dicurinya dan mendapati dirinya terjebak dalam Silent Core. Sekarang, kehadirannya di dalam inti telah mengguncang Vestroia dan upaya untuk bergabung dengan Bumi serta banyak dunia lainnya. Danma dan teman-temannya harus bekerja sama dengan orang-orang dari dunia lain yang juga terlibat dalam pertempuran epik ini. Ketika Naga mencari Inti Infinity sehingga ia dapat menyelesaikan Inti Sempurna untuk mendapatkan kendali atas Vestroia, Bumi, dan semua dunia lain, waktu adalah inti dari perang dunia yang menghancurkan ini.

While most of the Brawlers are trapped fighting against Druman and Centorrior, Naga is free to go after Wavern and the Infinity Core. But Dan leads his team to defeat the two evil henchmen and races off with Drago to face off against Naga himself. But it's too late!

Naga has trapped Wavern and it looks like she has no choice but to surrender the Infinity Core to her wicked brother. That's when Drago arrives and Wavern sends the Infinity Core into him, while Drago blasts his beloved Wavern into Vestoria.

Now the battle is between Naga and Drago. The fight is intense and Naga takes the upper hand as Drago loses power. But Drago's rage builds to a new high and he is instantly transformed into the Ultimate Bakugan.
